Scott Spendolini, Sumneva

Scott Spendolini is president and founder of Sumner Technologies, a small consulting firm which specializes in Oracle Application Express training and services. Scott has assisted a number of clients from various industries with their Application Express development and training needs. Before founding Sumner Technologies he worked for Oracle Corporation for almost ten years. During his last three years with Oracle he was a senior product manager for Oracle Application Express. He has presented at a number of conferences including Oracle OpenWorld, ODTUG Kaleidoscope, and IOUG and is co-authoring a new book, Pro Oracle Application Express, which should be published this summer.


 

Karen Cannell, TH Technology

Karen Cannell is president of TH Technology, a small consulting firm focused on Oracle technologies, including Application Express. She has analyzed, designed, developed, converted, upgraded, enhanced, and otherwise improved database applications for more than twenty years, focusing on the Oracle Database and toolsets since 1994.  Recent projects include design and development of APEX applications, Oracle BI and Discoverer implementations, ETL and warehouse migrations, and leveraging the Oracle9i, 10g, and 11g suites of tools.

Martin D’Souza is a PL/SQL developer at Cognera, which is a SaaS organization specializing in commercial and industrial billing. He has been developing applications with PL/SQL and Oracle Application Express over the past four years.

Steven Feuerstein

Steven Feuerstein is considered one of the world's leading experts on the Oracle PL/SQL language, having written nine books on PL/SQL (all from O'Reilly & Associates), including Oracle PL/SQL Programming and Oracle PL/SQL Best Practices. He has received various awards over the years for his work on PL/SQL, including Oracle Magazine PL/SQL Developer of the Year in 2003 and 2006. Steven is the only ODTUG presenter to win three awards—the 2005 Best Presentation, the 2005 Editor’s Choice Award, and the 2002 Best Presentation Award. He has taught thousands of the PL/SQL developers and DBAs in seminars throughout U.S., Europe, Australia, and Latin America.

Doug Gault, Sumneva

Doug Gault has been working with Oracle since 1988 starting with version 5.1B, SQL*Forms 2.0, and RPT/RPF. Since then he has focused his career on Oracle's development technologies, spending the last decade on Web-based technologies, and the last five years specifically on HTML DB/APEX. Prior to joining Sumner Technologies, Doug was the product development director for Hotsos Enterprises, during which time he was the lead architect/developer and product manager for two commercial products written in exclusively in APEX. His twenty-one years of Oracle experience have taken him all over the world and involved him in some truly ground-breaking projects. Doug has presented and participated in round table discussions at a number of conferences including Oracle OpenWorld, UKOUG, and ODTUG's APEXposed. He holds an associate’s degree in computer science, and an honorary MA from the School of Hard Knocks, believing there is no replacement for hard earned experience.

Anton Nielsen, C2 Consulting

Anton Nielsen is president of C2 Consulting, a technology solutions firm specializing in Oracle technologies. Anton is an Oracle Fusion Middleware ACE Director and has presented at ODTUG Kaleidoscope, Oracle OpenWorld,  and local user groups. Prior to founding C2 Consulting, he was employed by Oracle for ten years and by the U.S. Air Force as an officer and scientist.

Tim St. Hilaire, BAE Systems

Tim St. Hilaire works for BAE Systems, a leading aerospace and defense company. Working with various software development tools for the past twelve years, Tim became involved with his company’s ERP implementation in June 2000, and was first exposed to Oracle technology. Following the implementation of the Oracle E-Business Suite, Tim focused on a wide variety of system integration tools with a particular focus on Oracle software. Currently he leads a team of developers that are focused on managing complex, cross-functional implementations of applications, in which Oracle Application Express is a major component, to provide value to the BAE Systems’ business.
